As a result of its work with healthcare institutions and medical device manufacturers, the VUEMED team saw the need for an easy-to-use, non-intrusive, and inexpensive inventory tracking and data management solution to address product information needs of both hospitals and manufacturers.

VUEMED recognized that many hospital departments could benefit from such a solution, including cath and EP labs, interventional radiology departments, OR, GI/endoscopy suites, and others - where hundreds of expensive disposable and implantable medical devices are used daily.

After speaking with several hundred labs throughout the U.S., we realized that in order to prevent substantial level of product waste while ensuring uncompromising clinical care, our solution had to be affordable, with a high return on investment, be easy to use and set up, and able to deliver immediate benefits to the lab or department. In addition to the obvious cost savings, we heard from lab managers and material management professionals the desire to easily obtain and manage the information about their products, from inventory and par level controls to consumption and budgeting analyses. That was the beginning of VueTrack.
